From the Days of Steam and Smoke
The train arrived at the station in a huge puff of smoke, emerging from the mist in all its 19-century glory. This is narrow gauge, and it’s a mere 2-feet between the rails, making it the narrowest of narrow. It’s small but mighty, and was originally used to haul timber, ice, and people to the coast for transport by sea to New York, Boston, and beyond.
