Dawn's Early Light

Having returned to my family home in rural New York State several years ago, I enjoy beginning the day with an early morning walk. One summer dawn I returned just as the first rays of sunlight were striking the upper part of the house and gilding the treetops in the forest behind it. My main retirement goal is improving my watercolor skills by participating in the Terracotta Watercolor Explorers program and by painting on my own. Painted outside of class, this watercolor of "Dawn's Early Light" seeks to evoke a magical moment that I witnessed
