Cannon Breeze at Oregon's Beach
My paintings evoke a sense of nostalgia, serving as idealistic, homesick love letters to homes left behind, enriched with the fantastic elements we tie to our childhood homes. These artworks aim to encapsulate the way immigrants (and not only!) recall the homes they leave as children: idealistic, beautiful, yet also mysterious—like a distant, fantastical memory. The titles of my paintings often play with words, emphasizing the playful, childlike nature of these depictions. Through my works, I seek to bring comfort to those who miss home and captivate their imaginations with a visual sense of awe and longing.
In a world that is often realistic and brutal, I aspire to reintroduce beauty and happiness, allowing one to relive the innocence of childhood.
