I painted this during a snow day at home while our youngest daughter was napping. I loved the silhouette of the pineapple against the bright window, the newspaper on the marble table...and when my daughter reached in for the fruit, I knew that was what the scene needed. I wanted to capture the cozy moment of our kitchen table on this snow day, where we spend every day observing our neighborhood out that big window.
