I had been driving all over South Georgia and the Florida coast participating is different events. I had painted several small Plein air at this location but when I got back none seem to capture the mood of what I had remembered. I did several studies with a limited palette, sketches to tweak the composition and over all I felt it was worth the work. The finished result has much more of the misty, moody feeling of mystery I had felt when standing on location
