Nocturne paintings are enjoyable and challenging to paint because it requires to limit your colors and details. I wanted to show the clouds with the moon which required me to design the clouds to guide the viewers eyes through the painting without overpainting. Finding your way to ranch under a moon lite night makes it somewhat easier for the cowboy and makes for a enjoyable painting.
