My largest and most ambitious commission. Patrons were in a gallery that I was visiting, saw my plein air paintings, liked them and asked if I would paint a commission for his office. I said of course, and did not think about it. Several months later, she did reach out inquiring about my interest. A colossal challenge that worked out my skills on many levels. Many many hours initially over a several weeks to get the Pumpjack architectural design and conceptual composition correct, then issues on the sky; first too light then too dark. Many interruptions over several months; worked diligently on it to get it just right. I was apprehensive if the client would like it, I don't reveal progress shots routinely. Delivered, client loved it, big smiles all around. Praise God!
