"Mayan Gold" in Alcohol Inks on 11x14 photo paper. This piece is an experiment in dropping color then masking to save certain aspects of the structures which are the trees. This allows so many techniques to be performed singularly or all at once to refine the background from the foreground. So often the inks dictate which direction to take it as well as the final naming.
