French Copper jug with Apples

I was deeply inspired by the Dutch masters and their incredible attention to detail and mastery of realism. In my painting "Antique French Copper Jug with Apples," The antique French copper jug represents for me the beauty of handmade craftsmanship and history. The apples, cheese and red wine evoke a feeling of indulgence and pleasure of a French meal. I added a small bird perched on the jug's rim to add a touch of liveliness and whimsy.
I feel that my still life paintings capture a moment in time and invoke a feeling of calm in a busy world.
